The original Yilin Press president Li Jingdian is a close friend of his father, after his father died, he also maintained close contact with my family. He has given me two books, “Footprints on the Waves,” and “Breeze of the Wind.” The book recalls his decades-old editorial experience. In particular, at the very beginning of the publication of “Yilin”, the storm caused by a letter of complaint, Quite reflect the reform and opening up, China’s foreign literature, especially the publication of Western popular fiction after several twists and turns. This also shows that the essence of the process of reform and opening up is also the process of continuously emancipating the mind. I got his consent, some information on the incident after editing, overview of the whole story.
