赵厚麟:国际电信联盟副秘书长2014年10月23日,国际电信联盟第19次全权代表大会举行下届秘书长选举,156个成员国参与投票,中国推荐的现任国际电信联盟副秘书长赵厚麟作为唯一候选人,在首轮投票中即获得152票支持,高票当选新一任秘书长,是国际电信联盟150年历史上首位中国籍秘书长,也是担任联合国专门机构主要负责人的第三位中国人,将于2015年1月1日正式上任,任期4年。
