The 5th International Conference on Natural and Human-induced Disasters, co-hosted by the International Association for Natural Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (NHS), the Marine Natural Disaster Committee of the International Commission on Physical Physical and Membranes, the Natural Disaster Research Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, will be held in 1993 August 29 - September 3 held in Qingdao. Under this banner of Disaster-93, the conference will conduct a number of breakout seminars to discuss various aspects of natural disasters and technological disasters, with particular emphasis on mitigation measures
