肾病综合症与三日疟感染之间的关系已经确立。通过对三日疟肾病综合症患者的肾脏活检标本的免疫荧光研究,证明在肾小球内存在着疟疾抗原、同种抗体和β1C球蛋白,从而将三日疟肾病列为免疫复合物性肾炎。但仅仅通过人类肾脏活检标本的研究还不足以阐明其发病机理,因而发展了运用动物模型,如猴疟(P.cynomolqi)和鼠疟(P.berghei)作为研究疟疾肾炎发生机理的重要
The relationship between nephrotic syndrome and malaria infection has been established. Immunofluorescence studies on renal biopsy specimens from patients with malaria nephrilism on the 3rd showed that malaria antigens, alloantibodies, and β1C globulin were present in the glomerulus, thus listing malaria three days as immune complex nephritis. However, studies using only human kidney biopsies are not sufficient to elucidate the pathogenesis of these diseases, and the use of animal models such as P. cygnomqi and P. berghei has been developed as an important tool for studying the pathogenesis of malaria nephritis
