汽车电子导航系统是在全球卫星定位系统(GPS)基础上发展起来的新型技术。当今世界汽车的保有量逐年增加,给道路交通带来了严重的堵塞和拥挤,成为社会环境的一大公害,也造成了巨大的经济损失。修建道路,加大流通能力,虽然是解决交通拥挤的重要途径,但一些公路世风发达的国家都已清醒地意识到,仅仅靠扩建公路来解决交通拥堵问题是很有限的,必须谋求一种高科技手段的解决办法——汽车电子导航系统。
