The security of online transactions is one of the most important factors restricting the development of e-commerce. Identity Interception, Masquerading, DataInterception and Unauthorized Access pose a great threat to the security of e-commerce. The reason why hackers succeeded involves a key issue - user authentication. Compaq’s DeskproEC desktop PC, which recently launched, supports smart card systems and gives users an “identity card” for e-commerce through the optional integrated smart card keypad.
