农民工是当前我国社会经济的结构转换和可持续发展的重要劳动力,正在逐步成为第二、三产业的劳动力队伍的主要组成成员。尽管在各级的重视和各方面的努力下,农民工权益保障状况得到了显著改善和提高,但由于历史观念、社会制度和农民工自身因素等原因,这一部分既有农民身份,又有工人职业的人员,在劳动和社会各方面的权益还得不到充分的保障,严重影响了农民工队伍的成长和企业的发展,进而影响了社会经济和科学发展。为此,笔者结合职业介绍工作,就莆田市农民工权益保障状况进行了有针对性的调查。认为,当前要进一步切实维护农民工权益,构建和谐就业的用工环境,促进社会经济又好又快发展。

He believes that at present, we should further and earnestly safeguard the rights and interests of migrant workers, establish a employment environment for harmonious employment, and promote the sound and rapid development of social economy.
