Deng Xiaoping’s theory of opening up enriches Marxist theory of social development. Expounds the theoretical basis of Deng Xiaoping’s idea of “world citizenship”; demonstrates the necessity and urgency of China’s opening to the outside world; and profoundly demonstrates that opening to the outside world is by no means the same as the overall westernization.
