From 1965 to 1969, at the Institute of Combustible Minerals Electromagnetic Mineral Processing Laboratory, together with the Oreynigskog Mining Company and the Donets Institute of Mining and Technology (ДГИ), the Orengeorsk mining company containing hematite Laboratory, semi-industrial and industrial multi-gradient magnetic separation studies were carried out at the mine and tailings (see Figure 1: flow chart).
