12月1日起,上海市1959年话剧、戏曲,杂技、评弹青年汇报演出隆重揭幕了。十年来,在党的正确领导下,在前辈艺术家们的教导和青年们的勤学苦练下,上海戏剧界培养青年的工作取得了辉煌的成绩。达次青年汇报演出,就是对这个辉煌成绩的检阅。通过相互学习,交流经验,将使上海戏剧界培养青年的工作,获得更大的跃进。参加这次汇报演出的剧种有话剧(包括通俗话剧)、京剧、沪剧、越剧、淮剧、扬剧、滑稽戏、昆剧、甬剧、锡剧、杂技与评弹等12个;参加选拔演出的剧团有55个;参加选拔演出的青年演员有600多人。参加汇报演出的剧目,绝大多数是小戏,或者是大戏中的精采片断,并且选择了最能考验演员功夫的折子戏来衡量青年演员的学习成绩。

There were 55 theatrical troupes participating in the selection performance A; participated in the performance of young actors cast more than 600 people.
