Under the condition of sufficient water supply in sunny summer, Ginkgo biloba (L.), which grows on the mountain of Lushan, has the highest diurnal variation in transpiration rate of sun-leaf, the average daily transpiration rate is about 1.86mmolH2O · m-2 · s -1, and the maximum transpiration rate was about 3.8mmolH2O · m-2 · s-1. The average daily water use efficiency was about 2.9mmolCO2 · mol-1H2O and up to 8.6mmolCO2 · mol-1H2O. The responses of ginkgo to transpiration rate, stomatal resistance and water use efficiency varied at different times of the day, indicating that the growth of Ginkgo biloba was adaptive to the local illumination conditions. Temperature, photosynthetically active radiation and stomatal resistance and other factors on the transpiration rate of Ginkgo significantly.
