Railway engineering cost standard system in the railway industry, and even national and local infrastructure in all relevant fields, plays a very important role. The standard system of railway construction cost provides a basis for the reasonable determination of China’s capital construction investment and the investment control under non-market economy conditions, and is a rare and valuable technical resource in the field of railway construction. This article discusses the composition and function orientation of the standard system of railway construction cost, emphatically explains the change and development of standard system in recent years, and provides references for builders to better understand and apply cost standard system.
