从滴虫性阴道炎患者的阴道分泌物中分离毛滴虫,接种培养后进行扫描电镜观察。阴道毛滴虫呈梨形或卵圆形。虫体前端经鞭毛周管开口伸出4根游离前鞭毛。在虫体背侧周管开口的略后方单独伸出1根后鞭毛,其发出点与前鞭毛之间以鞭毛周管壁相隔。后鞭毛沿波动膜的左侧向虫体后端做波浪式延伸。波动膜乃虫体向外伸出的一条波浪形的膜样结构,其长度与虫体的比例关系,似乎与虫体形态变化有关。在波动膜的游离缘未见有副纤维。在虫体后端有轴柱伸出体外。
