棉花良种,从单株选择开始,经分系比较,混系产生原种的繁育技术,是我国目前颁布的标准技术。按这种标准技术生产良种,如何扩大繁殖系数,提高种子的质量等等,已有不少研究。但对按现有规程所要调查考种的内容,其选择的效果如何?以及繁殖的原种在生产中应用的年效应,即使用的年限怎样?至今尚缺乏研究。本文想据近年来的工作,在这方面作些探讨,以供进一步促进棉花良种繁育工作发展参考。
