沭阳县怀文中学创办于1998年4月。学校环境优雅,景色怡人,花木葱茏,亭台相映,是江苏省园林式单位。办学以来,经过不懈地努力,怀文中学形成了“楹联育人”“儒家德育”等鲜明的办学特色,得到了社会各界的广泛赞誉。怀文中学成立了“国粹教育”研究室,大力推行“楹联育人”工作。学校通过编印楹联读本、开设楹联课程、每月征联活动、评选“联星之星”等,培养学生赏联、撰联的能力。学校编印的《校园楹联报》被定为中国楹联学会教育专业委员会会报,该报先后获评“全国最佳校报特等奖”“百佳优秀江苏省中学校报校刊”等称号。学校牵头编写了全
