The Second Aizu International Symposium on Parallel Algorithms / Architecture Synthesis International Conference was held at Aizu University in Japan from March 17-22, 1997. The theme of the conference is parallel algorithm, parallel architecture, parallel computing environment. The main issues discussed are: ① parallel computer architecture and system software development based on the structure; ② shared memory implementation and architecture; ③ communication networks and routing algorithms; ④ parallel multi-tasking and load balancing issues; Parallel algorithm design technology, ⑥ synchronization mechanism design, tools and environment.
