Today, countries all over the world have generally recognized that the education of young children alone can hardly be accomplished by the unilateral forces of the school and requires the concerted efforts of all sectors of society, especially the family. The first formal education institution that children come across from their homes is the primary school. To maintain the continuity and consistency of family education and school education, primary school families and schools must maintain good communication and cooperation. Japan began to push forward the education system of home-school cooperation after its conclusion of World War II. Its home-school cooperation not only guaranteed by law but also provided financial support from the government and institutionalized operating mechanism. All these successful experiences are worth learning from.
