新媒介技术的发展和普及为音乐教育提供了革新的动机和平台,成为推动音乐教育在教育理念、教育模式和教学方法等方面进行变革的重要推手。它要求在音乐教育中实现教育理念的转换,变精英化为大众化教育;实现教学模式的转换,突破传统音乐教育的封闭式边界,突出“被审美”的取向;实现教学方法的改变,变满堂灌为互动式,并强调由学生自主地建构自己与音乐的审美关系。同时,新媒介环境也为音乐教育的发展带来了深层次的挑战,尤其是新媒介在当前人类社会的强势崛起和深远影响,使其比以往任何一种媒介都更可能加速人的异化。这就要求在音乐教育中更加重视音乐教育的价值理性和意义承载,始终保持一种反思与怀疑精神,以建设性的立场面对新媒介环境下音乐教育的发展。
