北京南郊大羊坊附近有一家常青老年公寓,常青老年公寓的当家人名叫于淑秀。于淑秀是个土生土长的庄稼人,早年当过大队的副书记和妇女队长。1975年底,于淑秀所在的乡要从农村基层干部中选拔一些人充实到乡政府,她被选调到乡民政科做了一名民政助理员。民政工作离不开社会优抚和社会救济,于淑秀说,自打干上了民政工作,她就一直为最可爱的人和最困难的人服务。
