Zurich, Switzerland, 1999-2003 Rugged bearing block construction gives this open structure a unique shape and form without the effects of fragmentation. With the open plan of the building, the lighting and visibility of the home will continue to change. There is no hierarchy or distinction between the various functions of the apartment, they are exactly the same in structure and material. Green trees and soft sunshine map onto the smooth template of a seamless concrete wall all the way to the innermost part of the apartment. Simple wall blocks make a variety of different styles of elements into a single architectural entity. The goal of the design is not to require a rigorous, harsh treatment of the building’s space, but rather to create many different styles
