多媒体在公共英语教学实践中的优势体现在:激发学习兴趣、提高教学效率、开发学生的智力、增长学生知识几个方面。多媒体应用于高职公共英语教学应从以下几个方面做起:传统教学与多媒体教学相结合、利用阅读课件进行“整体阅读”、利用网络资源“精泛结合,扩大阅读”、利用英语社团活动激发学生学习英语的兴趣、利用英语讲座增强学生的参与意识。
The advantages of multimedia in the practice of public English teaching are reflected in: stimulating learning interest, improving teaching efficiency, developing students ’intelligence and increasing students’ knowledge. The application of multimedia in higher vocational public English teaching should start with the following aspects: the combination of traditional teaching and multimedia teaching, the use of reading courseware for “reading” as a whole, the use of network resources “extensive combination of reading,” the use of English community activities to stimulate students interest in learning English, the use of English lectures to enhance students’ awareness of participation.
