获得性免疫缺陷综合征(AIDS)系由人类免疫缺陷症病毒(HIV)引起。目前全世界HIV阳性者超过1000万人,接种疫苗旨在防止HIV传播。最近发现的HIV母婴传播问题引人注目,出生时感染HIV的例子已有报道。所以,根据乙型肝炎疫苗预防乙型肝炎母婴传播的经验,用AIDS疫苗防止HIV母婴传播的研究已着手进行。研制AIDS疫苗必须解决下列问题:
Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Currently there are more than 10 million HIV-positive people worldwide, and vaccinations are designed to prevent the spread of HIV. The recent discovery of mother-to-child transmission of HIV is striking and examples of HIV infection at birth have been reported. Therefore, based on the experience of Hepatitis B vaccine in preventing mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B, research on the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV with AIDS vaccine has already started. AIDS vaccine development must address the following issues:
