做好老区宣传工作,促使全社会了解老区、关心老区、支持老区,激发方方面面对老区“高看一眼,厚爱三分”的热情,加快老区建设发展的步伐,这是老促会的工作重点。茂名市老促会成立20多年来,历届领导都非常重视老区宣传工作,在新闻报道组稿、信息报送和老区刊物征订方面,坚持不懈地采取各种有效措施,每年都取得一定的效果。2013年6月市老促会换届后,在原来的基础上又采取了一些新措施,使老区宣传工作取得了新的进展。
