参加这次会议,我首先觉得我们缺少了一位语言学大师傅懋勣先生,他已经去世了。王均先生在一篇文章中称他为民族语文学科的杰出领路人和规划者。我们民族语文界的一位大师离开了我们,我们感到很悲痛! 这两年,我们民族语文界损失很大。87年秋天李方桂先生在美国去世了,88年秋天傅懋勣先生又去世了。这两位先生在民族语文的开创和建设方面起过很大作用。对我个人来讲,李先生是我的老师,傅先生是我的好朋友。两年来良师益友相继而去。所以今天我们来参加这个会也算是纪念这两位民族语文界的开创前辈。
At this meeting, I first think that we lacked a master of linguistics, Fu Maochu, who has died. In an article, Mr. Wang Jun described him as an outstanding leader and planner of the national language discipline. We are saddened by a great master of our minority language community who has lost a great deal in these two years. Mr. Li Fanggui passed away in the United States in the autumn of 1987, and Mr. Fu Maiji again passed away in the autumn of 1988. These two gentlemen played an important role in the creation and construction of minority languages. For me personally, Mr. Lee is my teacher, Mr. Fu is my good friend. In the past two years, mentors and friends have been away. So today we come to this meeting can be considered as the founding predecessors of these two national language circles.
