Glaucomatous changes in the occurrence and development of a gradual process. In recent years, many foreign scholars devote themselves to the research of automatic quantification of photometric threshold and its fluctuation in order to find the meaningful change of the earliest visual function before the visual field defect of glaucoma. Hart and Bocker (1582) suggested that the earliest glaucomatous changes in field of vision were not relatively dark spots, but rather an increase in light threshold. Flammer (1084) reported that glaucomatous thresholds fluctuated significantly more than normal, and that this increase was a premonitory manifestation of a visual field defect. We used a Humphrey autoscope to perform a light threshold quantification test on a group of glaucoma patients to investigate Significance of Changes in Light Threshold and Short-term Fluctuation in Early Diagnosis of Glaucoma.
