郁建兴,江苏靖江人。我国优秀化学专家,联合国对伊拉克武器监核会视察员。中国共产党优秀党员,中国人民解放军防化指挥工程学院三系主任、教授。我国军事化学领域出色的青年专家和学科带头人。于1998年12月和2002年12月两次赴伊拉克参加联合国对伊武器核查工作。2003年3月13日,在伊拉克执行核查任务中不幸殉职,终年38岁。

China’s military and chemical outstanding young experts and academic leaders. In December 1998 and December 2002 twice went to Iraq to participate in the UN weapons inspection in Iraq. On March 13, 2003, he died of unfortunate death in the country’s verification mission to Iraq, at the age of 38.
