一、小学英语教学概况我州是一个地处偏僻、经济文化相对落后的少数民族地区,基础教育水平的发展更处在全省的末端,但在小学英语的开设方面,我州并未落后。永靖县部分小学早在上个世纪九十年代初就已开设英语,和政县数所城镇小学于1998年起开设英语。1999年,根据国家教育部和省教育厅的要求,全州7个县的50所小学开设英语。经过几年的努力,全州绝大部分城镇小学和乡中心小学均已开设英语,开设总数达600所,约占全州小学总数的二分之一。
