Yantai is one of fourteen coastal open cities in China. October 20, 1984 by the State Council formally approved the establishment of Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone. Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone has a planned area of 10 square kilometers and an initial project of 1 square kilometer. After more than three years of hard work, Yantai Economic and Technological Development Zone has basically realized “seven connections and one leveling”, running water, rainwater, sewage, heat power, cables, Tunnels and other major pipe network project has been completed. 35,000-volt and 110,000-volt substations are under construction
