荔枝、龙眼、香蕉、菠萝、柑桔和枇杷等是龙溪地区最重要的六大名果,种植面积占全区果树总面积80.9％,产量占全区水果总产量87.8％,是龙溪地区出口的“拳头”产品,在国内外享有盛名。由于龙溪地区各地气候不同,六大名果各具有其风土适应性,根据对六大名果产量和品质有影响的气候因子进行研究,作出农业气候区划,为各地合理利用农业气候资源,建设六大名果生产基地,提供科学依据。
