传统意义上的写意花鸟画,是以“鸟欲言、花欲语”为精神意趣,强调写生与传神,锤炼笔墨,纯化形象,突显格律,追求融诗书画印为一体的文人画格。然而,这一悠久的东方艺术, 当今摭拾者愈来愈少,他们丢掉传统,用肌理代替笔墨,变制作换取书写,丧失了充满精妙而神奇的笔墨传统文化。张毅敏的花鸟画为我们表明了他的创作态度。他把握传统的精粹,强化以书入画,强调作品从生活中来。他认为花鸟画家要有扎实的笔墨功夫,扎实的书法功底,深厚的生活底蕴。
