上半年我第一次担任全校各年級的珠算科专任教員。在過去我雖曾偶而地担任過一堂二堂的珠算課,不可(?)言的那是为了凑時分,而絕不是因為我擅长珠算教学。尤其是把那些仅有的舊經驗,加以批判后;更是所餘無幾了。因此我去訪問幾位教過珠算課的先進老師們,承他們告訴找,教珠算不可性急,必要全班學生都學會以後再進行新教材;随时留心學生打珠算的指法等。又去翻阅課程标准初稿找到了一些教学原则。同時又找了幾種关於珠算的书籍和課本。并不断地参阅雜誌(可是雜誌上关于珠算教学的材料是够稀罕的),就以這些材料作根據,擬定了上學期珠算教学预計進度表。經過半年不斷的摸索、改進,有了些經驗,现總結出几个問題來供大家研究:
In the first half of the year, I was the first full-time instructor of Abacus for all grades in the school. And constantly reviewing the magazines (although the magazine’s material on abacus teaching is rare enough), it is based on these materials that a predictable schedule of abacus teaching for the last semester is drawn up.
