上个世纪60年代,台湾“中科院”电子研究所(现改称资讯通信研究所,又简称为三所)为研发台海军水中兵器并进行测试,在海军左营军港桃子园基地海边,筹建了一座实验厂房,定名为“万象馆”。1976年,电子所成立水下科技组,即所渭的“三所十六组”,具体负责水下兵器研发。万象馆就是其研发的重要基地,也是台“中科院”惟一的水下科技研究专业单位。
In the 1960s, Taiwan’s Institute of Electronics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (now renamed the Institute of Information and Communication, also referred to as the Institute for Short Information and Communication) was set up to test and test Taiwan’s navy’s underwater weapons. At the beach of the Navy’s Peiyuan Peach Garden base, Laboratory plant, named “Vientiane Museum.” In 1976, the institute set up a group of underwater science and technology, namely the “three groups of 16”, responsible for the research and development of underwater weapons. Vientiane Museum is its research and development of an important base, but also Taiwan “Chinese Academy of Sciences,” the only unit of underwater science and technology research.
