通榆木版年画是东北民俗文化的代表之一。通榆年画的内容题材早期以传统的喜庆、吉祥年画为主,新中国成立后,通榆年画的表现题材发生了巨大的改变,多以反映时代风貌、追求科学进步、建设成就、弘扬正气为主。时代虽然不同,但通榆年画多为东北百姓的日常生活,加上丰富的地域特色形成了自己独特的艺术风格,民俗文化依然浓郁,其显现出的美学特征和价值仍是值得探究的。
Tongmu woodblock New Year pictures of folk culture is one of the representatives. Tongyu New Year paintings content theme early to the traditional festive, auspicious New Year paintings mainly, after the founding of new China, Tongyu New Year paintings have undergone tremendous changes in the performance of the theme, mostly to reflect the style of the times, the pursuit of scientific progress, building achievements, promote righteousness the Lord. Although the times are different, the Tongyu New Year paintings are mostly the daily life of the northeast people. With the rich geographical features, they form their own unique artistic style, and the folk culture is still rich. The aesthetic characteristics and value they reveal are still worth exploring.
