目前国外高炉喷吹煤粉的设备多系庞大,复杂的,而且投资高。尽管高炉喷吹煤粉本身有着很大的经济意义,但是由于喷吹系统的设备问题没有过关,就给普遍推广高炉喷吹煤粉造成了一些障碍。根据美国资料,美国维尔顿(Weirton)钢铁公司第四号高炉所采用的喷吹煤粉的设备比较简单。其主要优点在于不需要复杂的高大的贮煤罐设备,而只用一个结构简单的贮煤槽即可。采用这种结构的优点是:操作简便,技术安全,投资经济等。
