Objective: To investigate the effect of community intervention on blood glucose in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods: One hundred patients with T2DM were divided into experimental group and control group. The experimental group was given healthy behavior intervention, and the control group did not make any interventions. The treatment effect was compared between the two groups. Results: After intervention, the self-management behavior scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those before the intervention and significantly higher than those of the control group (P <0.05). After intervention, the fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2-hour postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Community intervention has a positive effect on glycemic control in community-based T2DM patients.
