习语翻译一般分成两类:词典翻译和文学语境下的语用翻译。习语的词典翻译往往是孤立静止的,文学语境下的语用翻译则必须服务于原作的“文学性”。英汉习语误译的原因主要在于:英汉两个民族由于各自不同的认知语境,导致对同一文化意象的理解产生错位,以及本民族独特的文化意象不为他民族独特的认知语境中的接受对象所了解而致。
Idioms translation generally falls into two categories: dictionary translation and pragmatic translation in literary contexts.
