全球定位系统(GPS)在测量工作中已被广泛应用,可以达到很高的精度,且已有许多成熟的方法;不足之处是观测耗时较长,且对测量数据需进行室内的后处理,发现测量结果不符合要求时,还必须到现场补做外业工作。GPS与无线数据传输系统组合成整体,则不仅缩短观测时间,而且很快得到测量结果,即刻校对,不会再有返回现场重测的现象发生。对应用GPS与无线数据传输系统组合体进行的测量,我们称之为实时GPS测量。实时GPS测量由GPS信号接收、数据实时传输和数据实时处理3个部分组成。该测量可广泛用于公路工程,诸如测绘大比例尺地形图、工程控制测量、中线测量、断面测量、施工测量及变形观测等。
