北京同仁堂制药厂是我国生产中成药最古老的重要厂家之一,也是全国重点技术改造的大中型企业之一。它创办于公元1669年,开业至今已有319年历史。该厂生产的各种中成药素以配方独特,选料上乘,工艺精湛、疗效显著而驰名中外。同仁堂的创始人乐尊育(1630～1688年),原是浙江宁波府慈水镇人。明代永乐年间迁居北京。乐尊育曾是走街串巷卖药的“郎中”。后在清皇宫太医院任出纳文书的吏目。他博览历代方书,又利用职务的便利条件,收集了许多古方和宫廷的秘方。后来,创办了同仁堂药室,致力于提高丸、散、膏、丹和药酒的质量。雍正年间(1723～1735年)同仁堂经过数十年的努力,制作的药品不仅取得了百姓的信
Beijing Tongrentang Pharmaceutical Factory is one of the oldest and most important manufacturers of proprietary Chinese medicines, and it is also one of the large- and medium-sized enterprises that have focused on technological transformation in China. It was founded in 1669 AD and has 319 years of history since its opening. The various proprietary Chinese medicines produced by this factory are well-known in the world for its unique formula, excellent choice of materials, superb craftsmanship and remarkable efficacy. Tong Ren Tang’s founder, Le Zhanyu (1630–1688), was originally from Cishui Town, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. In the Ming Dynasty, Yongle moved to Beijing. Le Zunyu used to be a “Langzhong” who sold drugs on the street. After that, he paid attention to the cashier’s book at the Qing Imperial Palace Hospital. He visited the ancient books and used the convenience of his duties to collect the secret recipes of many ancient courts. Later, the company established the Tong Ren Tang Pharmacy, which is dedicated to improving the quality of pills, powders, pastes, dan and liquors. During the Yongzheng Period (1723-1735), Tong Ren Tang’s pharmaceutical products not only obtained the letter from the people after decades of efforts.
