Tragedy is a kind of literary genre that originated and prospered in the West. The western tragedy creation and tragedy theory are all very rich. However, in the traditional Chinese drama creation, the real tragedy in the complete sense of the West has never been seen. The lack of tragedy reflects the different cultural backgrounds of China and the West. In order to objectively recognize the value of the two heterogeneous cultures in a holistic and open perspective of cultural relativism, we should face up to the limitations of one’s own culture, think positively, learn from the essence of the thought that is worth sharing in human beings in each other’s cultures, and inject new ideas into one’s own culture The vitality is the deep reflection triggered by the tragedy in the absence of China.
