塘楼运河大桥位于浙江余抗县塘楼境内,横跨京杭大运河。河面宽为100米左右,河床系冲积层软土地基、属白垩纪地质年代。深度100米以下是灰火成岩、50米以下为黄褐色含砾粘土,30米以下是各类粉砂夹粘土层,其上均为青灰色亚砂土。土壤空隙比0.9、含水量32.3%,地基承载力0.8—1.0公斤/平方厘米,河床经压缩采用净跨70米的拱桥跨越。由于施工设备的限制主拱圈改为双曲拱。为适应软基、尽可能满足垂直承压力及水平推力需要,基础采用箱形沉井,后座以设18.2米阻滑板拱上建筑及沉井、后阻滑板上分别以十孔
