创立于1980年的康宝莱,和雅芳、安利、玫琳凯、如新同列美国五大直销公司,在全球拥有超过100万直销商,业务分布在全球60个国家和地区,其全球业绩去年达到了20亿美元。康宝莱早在1999年就进入了中国市场,但由于1998年直销被禁后仅有10家企业获批转型,所以康宝莱选择了以传统方式经营。2005年,是中国直销市场冬去春来的一年。随着9月2日直销条例的正式出台,蓄势已久的康宝莱终于发出宣言,正式进军直销行业,目标直指首批直销牌照。正如康宝莱(中国)总裁钱港基所言:“目标就是做中国直销业的王者。做第二对我们而言,没有什么吸引力。”作为中国直销市场的后来者,康宝莱能突出重围,成为明日王者吗?
