我们在利用CE7120轴类仿型车床加工推土机支重轮轴的过程中,发生装夹工件的梅花顶尖严重磨损的现象。梅花顶尖使用寿命极短,特别是粗加工锻造毛坯件时,一个梅花顶尖在一件工件尚未加工完毕时就报废。工装消耗大大超过工件车工序加工价格,在这道工序形成亏损。梅花顶尖(如图1)的工作原理是:通过夹紧的轴向力使梅花顶尖的65个齿端顶住工件的端部。在切削过程中,轴向顶紧力转化成切削抗力,切削力越大,切削抗力也越大。梅花顶尖的齿数太多,实际上这么多齿只有齿尖在起作用。当切削抗力超过了齿尖的承载能力时,就导致齿尖全部磨平,从而使梅花顶尖失去工作能力。
