晚清时,随着国门的被迫开放,西方文化逐渐传入中国,上海成为最早的通商口岸,成为西方文化传播的中转站,西方文化由此大规模地、系统地进入我国。这就导致上海居民的思想观念开始变化。影响上海居民思想变化的因素有西方文化的传入,上海文化传统的独特性以及移民的社会结构,商人阶层的兴起。与之相适应的变化则是自由平等意识的觉醒;消费伦理观念的变化,以及商人的价值观念由“重义轻利”变为“重利轻利”。
In the late Qing Dynasty, as the country was forced to open, Western culture gradually came to China. Shanghai became the earliest treaty port and became the transfer station of western cultural communication. Western culture entered our country on a large scale and systematically. This has led to the changing perceptions of Shanghai residents. The factors influencing Shanghai residents’ ideological changes include the introduction of Western culture, the uniqueness of Shanghai’s cultural tradition, the social structure of immigrants and the rise of the merchant class. The corresponding change is the awakening of the consciousness of freedom and equality; the change of consumer ethics and the change of businessman’s value from “light weight of convenience” to “heavy weight and low profit”.
