本文通过蒙自5.8级地震前,小震断层面总面积和频度、地下水位、自然电位、视电阻率、植物电和水氡浓度、地倾斜等前兆异常的研究,认为各类前兆异常的开始时间并不象有关理论模型那样显示出同步发展的特性。恰恰相反,不同种类的前兆异常显示了明显的阶段性。蒙自地震的前兆显示中,除地震活动性的某些指标,在一年以前开始显出一定程度的异常外,其它前兆仅出现于震前2—3个月。因此认为,对于一个5—6级的中强震,利用地球物理、地球化学、地下水等观测资料,仅能反映短期和临震阶段的某些危险信息。
