Objective To investigate effect of p27 kip1 and cyclinE proteins on the genesis a nd progression of human pancreatic c ancer.Methods The expression of p27 kip1 and cyclinE in tumor tissue and adjacent tissue of 32patients with pancre atic cancer were detected by SP immunohistochemical technique.Results p27 kip1 protein positive-expression rate i n tumor tissue of pancreatic cancer was 56%,which was lower than that in adjacent pancreatic tis sue(P <0.05),p27 kip1 protein positive-expression corre lated significantly with tumor cell differentiation and lymphy node metastasis(P <0.05);cyclinE positive-expression rate was 69%,which was higher than that in adjacen t pancreatic tissue(P <0.05),cyclinE positive-expression also c orrelated significantly with tumor cell differentiation and lymphy nod e metastasis(P <0.05).Con-clusions p27 kip1 and cyclinE proteins may play an important role in genesis and progressio n of pancreatic cancer.
