饕餮是先人想象出来的一种神秘怪兽,作为一种兽面纹,从良渚文化时期就存在,到了宋代宣和时的《博古图录》在总结这种纹饰的时候开始称此类纹饰为饕餮纹。饕餮纹是殷商时代青铜器上最多的装饰纹饰,当后世欣赏殷商青铜时代装饰艺术的时候,得出“狞厉之美”的判断。因为它们的功能都是威慑,令子民仰望、敬畏祭司、贵族神性色彩的生活。现在的人去看待饕餮纹时,只能从其各种纹饰的形状去想象当时血雨腥风的社会状况,去联想当时劳动人民在制作青铜器时怀着怎样的敬畏和恐惧去雕琢令人恐怖狰狞的饕餮纹。
Gluttonous is a mysterious monster imagined by our ancestors. As a kind of beast facial pattern, it existed from the period of Liangzhu culture. When “Bogutululu” of the Song Dynasty was declared, it began to call such decoration Gluttonous pattern. The gluttonous pattern is the most decorative ornamentation on the bronze ware of the Shang dynasty. When the late Shang Dynasty appreciated the decoration art of the Shang dynasty bronze age, it came to the conclusion that “the beauty of the dynasty” was judged.
