湖南省双牌水电站是上世纪五十年代末六十年代初建成投产,是国家“一五”期间湖南省重点工程,至今已发电运行40多年。电站位于湘江支流——潇水中游,装机容量13．5万千瓦。

Hunan Shuangpai Hydropower Station was put into operation in the late 1950s and early 1960s and is a key project of Hunan Province during the “First Five-Year Plan” period of the country. It has operated for more than 40 years since its establishment. Power plant is located in the tributary of the Xiangjiang River - Xiaoxu midstream, installed capacity of 135,000 kilowatts.
