民族文化不仅是本民族精神的写照,也是本民族物质文化与精神文化的结晶。而西部是我国少数民族聚居、民族传统文化积淀浓厚的地区,民族文化的多样性是西部文化的显著特征,但在西部大开发与经济全球化背景下,体现民族特色的民族文化遗产正大量流失,要构建社会主义和谐社会,就必须重视和加强对少数民族传统文化的保护传承和开发利用。
