对2种提高加填纸张强度的方法作了比较。一种是用聚合物来增加纤维-纤维间的结合强度,另一种是用聚合物增加纤维-碳酸钙间的结合强度。在2张湿的、无填料的手抄片之间添加少量的沉淀碳酸钙(PCC),干燥后测定两层间的结合强度。实验结果表明,当PCC用量较少时,增加了纤维素-纤维素间的结合强度,用聚合物改性的一层或双层PCC增加了层间的强度;而随着PCC用量加大,强度反而降低。聚合物改性PCC后增加了纤维-PCC间的结合强度并在一定程度上提高了纸张的强度。实验中发现把纤维素细小纤维加入到改性PCC中可以得到最强的层间结合强度。实验考察了不同的聚合物、细小纤维、PCC的组合对纸张的增强效果。
Two methods to increase the strength of filled paper were compared. One is the use of polymers to increase fiber-to-fiber bond strength and the other is the use of polymers to increase fiber-to-calcium bond strength. A small amount of precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) was added between two wet, unfilled handsheets and dried to determine the strength of the bond between the two layers. The experimental results show that when the amount of PCC is less, the bonding strength between cellulose and cellulose is increased, and the strength between layers is increased by one or two layers of polymer-modified PCC. With the increase of PCC dosage, Instead, the intensity decreases. Polymer modified PCC increased fiber-PCC bonding strength and to some extent, increased paper strength. The experiment found that adding cellulose microfibers to modified PCC can get the strongest interlayer bonding strength. Experiments examined the effect of different polymers, fines, and combinations of PCC on paper.
