Under the auspices of TACOM, work is continuing on the development of the next-generation propulsion system for “heavy armored combat vehicles”, the main battle tank, and combat vehicles powered by the Integrated Advanced Propulsion System (AIPS) Will replace the current gas turbine-powered M-1 tank.
